We are a group of Barry Cowsill fans who are looking for live bands to play his surprisingly diverse music.

In 2011 an independent documentary film about Barry will be released.  To help celebrate, we are looking to pay a "bounty" for any bands that cover at least one song in their line-up wherever they play.
You can find his music online and in some music stores with his Albums "As Is" and "US1".

Prize will be $100 for best cover
Separate $25 prizes will be given out to Best Individual, Best Band, Best Adaptation, Best Original, Best Promotion, Most Covers.
Video confirmation of cover will be helpfull, but bands are expected to announce when and where they will perform the cover so we can attend in person.
Donations from Sponsors of $25 or more will receive one vote for each $25.

Barry Cowsill started playing with his older brothers in the famous band the Cowsills.   In the video to the left, Barry is on the base. Only those over 50 probably remember the Cowsills.  Five brothers and a sister, along with their Mom formed a band.  They hit it big in '69, with "Hair" and many other songs ... then they quickly disappeared by 1972.  Where did they go?  Where are they now?  Why was one brother tossed from the band? What happened to the brother who got sent to Vietnam?  What about the brother that didn't sing?  What tradedy befell this family as a result of Hurricane Katrina?
A new independent movie attempts to answer the big question ... What really happened to the Cowsills?
Catchy and dancable, Barry's music ranges from basic rock, to country, to southern, to zydeco ... all on one Album.   His music sounds like his personality; playful, fun, effusive, and often hard driving
